Who We Are
Our Story
In the fall of 2013 I was sitting in the viewing area of a pool watching my daughter's Synchronized Swimming practice when I noticed the coach was having an issue with the clubs sound system. Having been a wedding DJ and an audio tech for a live band I figured I could offer the coach some help to get the system up and running, and after a little troubleshooting and a few adjustments on the mixer I had the system up and running in a few minutes. The coach asked me if I could look after the clubs audio needs, since I would already be at the pool with our daughter, so I agreed to the volunteer position of being the clubs "Sound Guy". It wasn't too long before I was offering assistance to other clubs tackling their audio needs, and shortly after we started The Synchro Swag Shop, offering sales and service of audio systems that cater to the the Artistic Swimming community.
I have been the Audio Technical Chair since 2015 for Ontario Artistic Swimming, and moved into the National Stream handling the design, set up and music operation at the National Qualifier and National Championships for Canada Artistic Swimming. In June of 2022 I was the music manager for the World Aquatics World Cup of Artistic Swimming in Markham, ON and was invited to the World Championships of Artistic Swimming in Fukuoka Japan, I followed that up as the Music Manager at the 2024 World Championships of Artistic Swimming in Doha Qatar, the 2024 World Cup of Artistic Swimming in Paris France and the 2024 Paris Olympics again reprising my role as Music Manager.
